On September 3rd, in the late afternoon sunshine, a fabulous crowd of longtime FSM supporters and new well-wishers gathered at Coolwater, the gracious home of the Childs family in Norfolk, Connecticut. Organized by FSM Board member Bridget Taylor, the event was hosted by Michelle and Star Childs, who marked the occasion with the announcement of a major $20,000 donation to Seva Mandir from the Childs Family Trust. Co-hosts Trish Deans, Lisa Atkin and Tony Kiser contributed also to provide an evening of inspiring remarks by FSM Board Chair Uday Mehta and Professor of Economics, Sanjay Reddy, multiple engaging conversations about philanthropy and innovative development work, as well as delicious Indian food and drink.
